Seattle

Wednesday was our trip into Seattle.  It was supposed to be the rainiest day, but it still was pretty nice weather.  We had to drive to Bainbridge Island to take the ferry into Seattle.  High adventure for us dry land folk!

Our first stop in Seattle was Pier 59, the Seattle Aquarium.  We had been there before, a few years ago.  Syd and Tristan remembered the most.  It has been remodeled a little since then, but most of the exhibits are the same.  I rediscovered my fondness for seahorses and sea otters.  OMGosh!  Soo cute!  The kids pulled me away from the otters.  TJ told me other people might want to watch them.  Really??!

After the Seattle Aquarium, we went to the Pike’s Public Market Place.  Very cool!  We strolled for a long time through the shops and vendors.

We visited some shops downtown, ate at the Hardrock Café, and then went to the Space Needle.  Tristan really wanted to go up, since he didn’t really remember it from a few years ago.

A late ferry ride home, sleep, pack, and start the trip south and east!
